Our History - Study Jordanian Arabic Institute

Our journey towards excellence began in 2011 with the opening of the Excellence Center in Hebron, Palestine. Seven years later, we expanded our work internationally by creating the Excellence Center in Halle, Germany. Over our 15+ years of experience, we have led community development initiatives that support integration and international exchange.

The following is a short overview of our history and successes in Palestine and Germany.

The Excellence Center in Palestine 2011

The Excellence Center in Palestine for Education and Training Services was established in Hebron inJune 2011 to provide educational, cultural, social, and community development services to a diverse group of international students, interns, and volunteers, as well as to Palestinian children, refugees, youth, women, and community members in Hebron, West Bank, Palestine.

The Excellence Center in Europe 2018

As a result of the ongoing success of the Excellence Center in Hebron, we expanded our work in Germany, in the city of Halle. In 2018, the Excellence Center in Europe began offering educational and community programs for locals and international participants. Since its founding, the Center’s community and language instruction programs have made it an integral part of the local Halle community. By collaborating with other local organizations and hosting a diverse group of international volunteers, the center has established itself as a unique hub for travelers seeking to serve and experience Germany from a multicultural perspective.

Engage in Palestine in June 2021

In the meantime, our work in Palestine has continued to grow with Engage in Palestine, a program offering language and service programs for international travelers. Based in Hebron, Palestine, Engage in Palestine has become well-known for its intensive immersion courses in Levantine (Shami) and Palestinian Arabic, as well as its cultural programming. International students looking to learn Arabic and experience Palestine participate in educational, social, and cultural initiatives supporting not only their Arabic studies but also youth, women, and refugees in Palestine.

Volunteer in Palestine in 2022

Once again, the Excellence Center in Palestine expanded its critical work in 2022 with Volunteer in Palestine. Dedicated to serving the Palestinian community, Volunteer in Palestine was established to bridge Palestinian students with their peers abroad.

The center has become a pillar of the community, offering educational, cultural, social, and community services to a diverse group of international students, interns, and volunteers, as well as to its Palestinian students in Hebron.

Study Jordanian Arabic Institute in 2025

Most recently, the Excellence Center expanded its offerings to an online format with the launch of the Study Jordanian Arabic Institute. Founded in 2025 and located in Jabal Al Lweibdeh in the heart of Amman, the Study Jordanian Arabic Institute is dedicated to teaching the Arabic language and culture to an even wider audience. With flexible online programs, we aim to make learning Arabic simple, accessible, and convenient for students anywhere in the world.

Our Arabic online courses are designed for beginner to advanced learners, with a focus on using the language to integrate with native Arabic-speaking communities. Therefore, courses emphasize practical conversation and frequently used vocabulary.

As a result of 15 years of successful expansion, The Excellence Center in Europe and Palestine was honored with several prestigious Community Awards. Recognized as the Best Language School, Top Internship Provider, and Top Volunteer Provider in 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025, our programs have consistently provided transformative educational and service experiences for thousands of students worldwide.
